Scott Carpenter is a Senior Tax Manager with Swenson Advisors, LLP.  Scott is the primary contact for tax services including tax compliance and consulting. Mr. Carpenter is responsible for the management of tax engagement projects in manufacturing, construction, wholesale distribution, retail and international clients.  He also specializes in research and development tax credits. 

Prior to joining Swenson Advisors, LLP in 2006, Mr. Carpenter worked for 9 years as a Tax Director with RSM McGladrey, Inc. and prior to that, he worked with Arthur Andersen in their Washington, D.C. and Vienna, Virginia offices as a tax consultant.

Scott received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and his Master’s degree in Taxation from Brigham Young University.  He is a California CPA and a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Scott is currently involved in the Corporate Director’s Forum and the MIT Enterprise Forum.
