Rick Maiero is an executive level strategy consultant helping technology companies answer two key questions: "What is my market focus?" and "What management and infrastructure do I need to put in place to successfully address the market?" Current customers include companies developing networking, internet infrastructure and semiconductor products.

Rick brings a deep understanding of strategy development, business operations and technology from 25 years of experience in high technology product development and strategy consulting. Rick has successfully managed all major functional areas of a technology company and has a diverse range of executive management experience including President/COO of a software company, partner in a strategy consulting firm, and VP of Engineering in an early stage enterprise SW company.

Rick has developed successful strategies and business models for a wide range of products and services and has led the development of several successful enterprise SW products

Rick's has in depth knowledge and experience in datacom and telecom markets, semiconductors and enterprise software.

Rick was recently President/COO of Keylime Software, a web analytics applications service provider (ASP). Over two years, Rick stabilized the company financially, restructured the executive team, and established Keylime as an Enterprise class service provider closing multiple enterprise accounts including turning IBM in a multimillion dollar a year customer. Rick increased revenue by 5X during a very difficult economic cycle exiting 2001 with >$5M/yr forward-looking revenues.

Prior to Keylime, Rick spent 5 years as a partner in The Ascent Group (TAG), an executive level strategy consulting firm. As a managing partner Rick led engagements performing strategy development, market assessment and business plan development for companies in the Internet infrastructure, semiconductor and datacom/telecom markets. To implement strategies Rick served interim roles of CTO, COO, VP Marketing and VP Engineering. TAG's clients included Microsoft, Marimba, Sun Microsystems, Intel, Fujitsu Networking, Fujitsu Semiconductor, Bell Atlantic, Signal Soft, HNC and Egghead Computer.

Rick Maiero holds a BSEE degree from California State Polytechnic University.
